Scholarship for International Student

The University of Adelaide in Adelaide, Australia offers a variety of scholarships for international students. Both undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships are available and all are based on academic merit.

The Adelaide Outstanding Achiever Scholarships International is an undergraduate scholarship for international students in any country. Awards are made to no more than nine students in any area of study, with the exclusion of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Dental Surgery. The scholarship covers full tuition for up to four years. Undergraduates from Vietnam may be eligible for the Adelaide Vietnam Scholarships, which is exactly the same as the Adelaide Outstanding Achiever Scholarships International. The only difference between these two scholarships for international students is that one is exclusively for Vietnam citizens and only four of those may be awarded. The Adelaide Malaysia Australia Colombo Plan Commemoration Scholarships are given out to two undergraduate students from Malaysia and pays for half of the tuition for up to four years of study. Recipients of this scholarship can pursue any four year degree, including the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and the Bachelor of Dental Surgery. One additional Malaysian student may be awarded the Adelaide Sarawak Alumni Scholarship for $2,000, which is based on academic performance and financial need; it can be renewed for up to three years.

One postgraduate scholarship for international students, which pays for full tuition, is available to six students from any country. The Adelaide Scholarships International funds postgraduate research and includes a yearly stipend for living expenses. Six international postgraduate students who will be pursuing a degree through coursework may be offered the Adelaide Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships International, which pays for half of the tuition for two years.

Scholarship applications are not necessary: Admission applications are evaluated for eligibility for any available scholarships.
